Community Spirit working overtime in Rural Scotland

At this very difficult time, Community spirit in Rural Scotland is fantastic to see- with local businesses going out of their way with outstanding levels of support.

Here are some local examples - there 's sure to be many more as Rural Communities fight back for as long as they are able.

Broch Cafe Strathyre

To all our customers,

In these uncertain times we would like to reassure all our loyal and regular customers that we will have our doors open throughout this situation, for as long as we are allowed to do so. We will be offering a full take away menu and in addition can cater for orders for any of our home baked products including soda bread, scones, cakes and biscuits.

If there is anything we can do to help please let us know.If there are any customers who for any reason can’t leave the house then simply give us a call and we will be happy to deliver within the local area.

The health of our customers and staff is of the utmost importance and we would like to assure you that as well as our regular rigorous cleaning we are carrying out additional sanitising to the highest standards. We look forward to seeing everyone again when the corona virus is behind us.

Love from the Broch Team

Strathyre Village Shop

Janet Emma and David Richards are doing their best to maintain a good stock of provisions at the Strathyre Village Shop.

Not so young residents are being well catered for with provisions delivered where required. The shop has a good local knowledge of the Villagers that may need help and are responding with great offers of assistance.

Achray House

Achray House have been providing local support to the not so young folks around Lochearn with the offer of hot meals deliver to the door for those unable to venture outdoors.

Trossachs Search and Rescue

The Trossachs Search and Rescue Team have been doing above and beyond duty for some considerable time with many responses to emergencies. They provide Emergency response cover from 5pm to 8am to help ease the pressure on the NHS Emergency Services.

TSR provide maintenance on all the defibrillators in our region, and have also offered support on delivery of prescriptions for our pharmacies.

An outstanding level of dedication.
