The future of the Broch recreational field is the subject of a Community buy-out being considered through BLS Community Trust.
The Village of Strathyre is invited to attend a site visit at the Broch Field and immediately afterwards at the White Stag Inn, a presentation will take place on the findings of the Munro Landscapes feasibility study followed by a community discussion.
"The Broch" as it is locally known, is the venue of the Strathyre Music Festival, the Annual Fireworks display and the popular Christmas market. The field lies adjacent to the river balvaig and is bordered by the Tigh An eas Burn. It's local name comes from its association with the replica 'Broch project' which is a copy of an original broch dwelling - now in a state of partial ruin. The event on 28th March offers an interesting insight into the plans pof BLS Community Trust to acquire the field on behalf of the Strathyre Village community.
Meet at the 'Broch' field at 1pm on Saturday 28th March followed by a presentation at White Stag Inn. Tea, coffee and nibbles will be provided.
